Hi, my name is Kellie and I am a Senior Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience in mental health, supporting children, young people, and adults through a range of emotional and psychological challenges.
I have expertise in helping people through anxiety, low mood, OCD, psychosis, and the effects of difficult life experiences, among others.
I have a particular interest in working with people who have experienced ongoing trauma.
I support individuals to process how these experiences may have shaped their sense of self- including their identity, feelings of shame, and self-criticism- while also exploring how those experiences do not have to define who they are moving forward.
I am experienced in working adaptively and inclusively with neurodivergent individuals.
I help individuals understand and thrive with their diagnosis, while exploring how their neurodivergence may be uniquely interacting with their mental health.
To achieve this, I will work collaboratively with you to develop a shared understanding of your challenges. I love to learn about your strengths and interests so that together we can create a therapy plan that feels both meaningful and supportive.
My therapeutic approach primarily draws on second- and third-wave models of CBT, including Compassion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
I also integrate systemic ideas to build a rich understanding of the factors impacting on an individual’s wellbeing.
My areas of specific interest are:
- Anxiety
- Autism
- Children and Adolescents
- Depression
- Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Psychosis
- Self Esteem
- Sexual Abuse
- Trauma and PTSD
